Which Mass is right for you?
Every Mass is the same Mass, but each has its own character. The 9:00 AM is quieter, with a cantor and organ, and is the choice of many families with young children. The 11:00 AM is the principal parish Mass with the full choir; it is the one we livestream and usually the one at which baptisms within Mass, First Communions and parish celebrations take place. The 1:00 PM Mass rotates among our language communities — Spanish on the first and third Sundays, Tagalog on the second and Italian on the fourth — and everyone is welcome whatever language you speak. The 5:00 PM is led by the contemporary ensemble and is home to our youth and young adults, followed by supper in the hall on most Sundays.
Receiving Communion
Catholics who have made their First Communion and are prepared come forward at Communion. If you are not Catholic, or not able to receive, you are warmly invited to come forward with your arms crossed over your chest for a blessing, or simply to remain in your seat. Low-gluten hosts are available: please speak to the sacristan before Mass. Communion is brought to anyone who cannot walk to the front — just let an usher know.
Seasonal schedules
Christmas, Holy Week and Easter have their own schedules, published in the bulletin and on the events page about a month in advance. As a guide: Christmas Eve Masses at 4:00 PM (children's pageant at 3:30), 8:00 PM and Midnight (carols from 11:30 PM); Christmas Day at 9:00 and 11:00 AM; Ash Wednesday at 8:30 AM, 12:10 PM and 7:00 PM; the Easter Triduum on Holy Thursday at 7:30 PM, Good Friday at 3:00 PM (with Stations at noon), and the Easter Vigil at 8:30 PM.
