Sacraments

Seven sacraments for every stage of life — and a parish team ready to walk with you through each one.

A sacrament is a visible sign, given by Christ, through which God gives grace: water poured, bread broken, oil traced on a forehead, a promise spoken. The Church counts seven, grouped by what they do — beginning the Christian life, healing it, and giving it a mission. Each has its own page below with practical details: when, how to register, what to bring, what it costs (usually nothing) and who to ask.

Do I need to be a registered parishioner?

For baptisms and weddings, yes — or a letter from your own parish. Registration is free and takes five minutes: register here. Confession and anointing are for anyone, any time.

What do the sacraments cost?

Nothing. Offerings are customary for weddings ($500, which includes the musicians) and welcome for baptisms and funerals, and are always waived for those who cannot afford them.

I was baptized elsewhere. Do I need my certificate?

For Confirmation, marriage and godparent letters, yes — request a recent copy (issued within six months) from the parish of baptism. Our office can help you find it.
